On the first floor, each of three rooms replicated an exhibition by John M Armleder, Olivier Mosset, and Sylvie Fleury. One recalled the exhibition at the Galerie Rivolta in Lausanne in 1990, another the show at the John Gibson Gallery in New York in 1994, and the third, an exhibition at the Galerie van Gelder in Amsterdam in 1994. The following year this concept of an exhibition once-removed uniting these three artists would be repeated in the same rooms with AMF3. This time, each artist was represented by a 11 x 11 inch piece typical of his/her work—a drip painting from Armleder, a black circle on a white background from Mosset, and a fake fur monochrome from Fleury. The resulting triptych was repeated on each wall. Lastly, in 2001, as part of a series of exhibitions entitled Répertoire (Replay), which reinterpreted 16 previous exhibitions, these three artists were once again united for AMF2.
