The MAMCO and the Museum of Art and History (MAH) invite you to a dual tour across their exhibitions to examine the construction of our gazes and narratives surrounding female and male nudity. This evening establishes a dialogue between contemporary art and historical collections.

Program:

6:00 PM – Meeting point at Rath Museum for a tour of the Sylvia Sleigh exhibition. Explore how the artist challenges and reverses traditional approaches to portraiture and the gendered nude through the lens of 1970s feminism.
7:30 PM – Meeting point at MAH for a tour through the permanent collections on the theme "From the Heroic Gaze to the Erotic Gaze."
