Interview with Paul Bernard, Curator at the MAMCO, discussing the project readymade belong to everyone® by French artist Philippe Thomas. Thomas’s entire oeuvre is based on a principle of delegation developed in the early 1980s, according to which the purchaser of a work becomes its signatory. The museum preserves the “agency,” an entrepreneurial structure behind which the artist effaces himself. Acquired by the MAMCO in 1994, this installation is regularly presented and stands as one of the institution’s emblematic works.
