As part of the exhibition dedicated to Jack Goldstein at the Kunst Museum Winterthur, MAMCO is relaying an evening combining a guided tour and a film screening, to offer an in-depth perspective on the artist’s work and his relationship to cinematic images.

The event opens with a 16 mm screening of Reel of Ten, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition. The tour is led by Lynn Kost, curator of the exhibition, in dialogue with Lionel Bovier, Director of MAMCO Geneva. Together, they offer a cross-perspective reading of Goldstein’s work, a major figure of the Pictures Generation, highlighting the aesthetic and conceptual issues at stake in his film practice.

This evening forms part of the cycle of off-site projects initiated by MAMCO during the renovation period of its building and reflects a commitment to strengthening synergies between the collections of museum institutions in Switzerland.
