Next spring, the Temple de la Servette, built in a brutalist style by architect Paul Marti and inaugurated in 1970 in the Geneva neighborhood of the same name, will be demolished and replaced by a “mixed-use building” including, among other things, residential units and retail spaces.
In collaboration with MAMCO, this building is hosting this year’s edition of Art Genève / Musique, whose program responds to the apprehensions or forebodings suggested by a space on borrowed time. The presented works form a cycle of performances highlighting the body, the voice, and sound, each exploring, in its own way, our capacity to dismantle, deconstruct, and also renew.
