Summer Workshops

Initiated by the Leisure and Youth Department of the Canton of Geneva, Passeport-Vacances allows young from 10 to 15 to meet the inhabitants of Geneva and its outskirts on their workplaces or during their leisure activities during the summer holidays. At MAMCO, Passeport-Vacances consists in a day devoted to discover the artistic practice of a museum’s guide, to a work chosen among MAMCO’s collection, and a practical workshop.

Flying Guides

As part of its transmission program, MAMCO has chosen to work with artists who live in Geneva. As experts in contemporary practices and the history of forms, these “flying” guides are available for visitors on weekends and late openings, as well as during the museum’s opening times. See Calendar.

Nocturnes and Free Sundays

The Education Services highlights two special moments conceived to extend the museum’s audience and bring in a mixed public Nocturnes and Free Sundays.

Nocturnes, supported by the Fondation Lombard Odier, are festive occasions to highlight certain aspects of the current exhibitions, notably through the Curators Talks.

Free Sundays, supported by JTI, favour access to the museum to a broad French- or English-speaking public, for both adults and children. They offer activities such as works activations and events bringing together different audiences. Guided tours, in French and in English, are available at 3 pm. Free, without inscription, within the limit of availability.

Collaborations

MAMCO’s Education Services has set up numerous collaborations with other public institutions or associations, renewed each year.
